Parrie Limps and Banny Hols? Clarion Delivers Slang-Busting Campaign for Tour Company Evan Evans
After noticing a surge in searches for British slang explanations on the Evan Evans blog, the Clarion team launched a timely and playful PR campaign deciphering quirky abbreviations that often leave Brits and tourists alike scratching their heads.
The campaign focused on a host of new abbreviations sweeping the nation with consumer research revealing that millions are utterly confused and have no idea what the likes of ‘Savvy B’ (Sauvignon Blanc), ‘Panny D’ (pandemic) and ‘Jackie P’ (jacket potato) mean. In addition, a new blog post was created for the Evan Evans site including explanations for some of the most puzzling terms.
The national press has lapped up the story, including the Mail Online, Daily Telegraph, Daily Express, The Sun, plus a host of regional publications (and counting!) - spreading amusement and sparking conversations about the peculiarities of British slang.
Evan Evans recently appointed Clarion Communications as its Digital PR agency to amplify its digital presence.
