Clarion Works with TV’s Anna Williamson on Mental Health Campaign for Cigna

To launch global health firm Cigna Healthcare’s new mental health initiative, the 5% pledge, we teamed up with TV's Anna Williamson to inspire and support business leaders to commit five percent of their working hours to mental health in the workplace.

The presenter and celebrity ambassador for mental health charity Mind suffered a mental breakdown in 2007 and was subsequently diagnosed with a generalised anxiety disorder and a panic disorder. As a passionate mental health campaigner, Anna was the perfect partner and alongside Cigna’s very own Clinical Head Dr Peter Mills, the nationwide launch has seen an array of radio interviews alongside a hard-hitting social media campaign.

Anna said: “When I was in the height of my anxiety disorder, and when I had a mental breakdown, I very nearly came out of television because I wrongly thought that was the trigger. But my bosses were incredibly supportive, and I believe passionately that level of support is available everywhere.”

The packaged-up news story has resulted in 22 pieces of coverage so far, including 12 broadcast hits with a reach of almost 1million.
